Gaudeamus Choir together with the diaspora representatives performed The Red Viburnum in the Meadow to the Constitution Day in Ukraine

The Gaudeamus National Students’ Choir, Lviv Polytechnic, together with representatives of music bands of the Ukrainian diaspora sang the most famous insurgent song of our people – The Red Viburnum in the Meadow.

The idea of creating this project, which united the hearts of Polytechnicians and Ukrainians living abroad, belongs to Lviv Polytechnic.

The following people joined the creation of the video: Ukrainian Children’s Choir in Torrevieja, Spain (leader – Taras Khomiak); Parish choir of the church of St. Barbarians, Vienna, Austria; Gaudeamus National Students’ Choir, Lviv Polytechnic National University; Church Choir of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, UGCC, Denia, Spain; seminarians of the Ukrainian Pontifical College of Saint Josaphat, Rome; Oranta Choir, Barcelona, Spain; parish choir of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ of the UGCC, Ibiza Island (leader – Christina Kasko).

Roman Machyshyn, chief conductor of the Gaudeamus National Students’ Choir, said that the video was dedicated to the Constitution Day of Ukraine.

«This song is very relevant and popular in the world now. The video is aimed at supporting the Ukrainian patriotic spirit during the war. It is important to support the Ukrainian spirit so that people around the world do not forget that Ukraine is still forced to fight for its independence. It is very nice that Ukrainians from the diaspora responded and joined this project», said Roman Machyshyn.
