On January 27, a memorandum on the opening of the Expertus Center for Independent Expertise and Testing was signed at Lviv Polytechnic National University. It will operate on the basis of the SID City Science Park of Lviv Polytechnic.
The parties to the agreement are Lviv Customs and Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lviv City Council, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and other state institutions. The memorandum certifies the agreement on cooperation between the parties to assist in the implementation of independent examinations and tests of goods and services, depending on the purpose, which requires the use of special knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as the use of certain material and technical base.
- Opening the Expertus Center for Independent Expertise and Testing, we prove once again that we work at the European level. We introduce cool innovations, make great inventions and have powerful entrepreneurs. We will be able to confirm this when we conduct independent qualitative examinations. We know that our scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs who want to work on the international market need confirmation of certification. Therefore, we need to unite and through Expertus create a platform for the western region of the country for effective interaction of business, science and citizens for efficient, effective access to information on the possibility and implementation of research, product testing and certification, - said Nazarii Podolchak, Director of Tech StartUp School.
The co-initiator of this Center was Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University Yurii Bobalo. Welcoming the participants of the meeting, the rector stressed that this is a very powerful project, as quality expertise affects the development of our economy. The creation of such a center will help open new opportunities for activity in various directions.
- The opening of the Center for Independent Expertise and Testing in Lviv provides new opportunities for science and business. Such activities will guarantee open access to information on the quality or origin of goods from all stakeholders, as well as help in conducting and implementing new research, - said Daniil Menshykov, Acting Head of the Lviv Customs.
The launched project will be useful for higher education institutions with scientific potential, for state institutions, in particular for judicial institutions that conduct examinations in criminal and civil proceedings, for the state customs service, etc.
The purpose of the Center - to unite the involved accredited laboratories and conformity assessment testing centers for conducting conformity assessment (certification) of products - is the best demonstration that the product meets the key requirements of regulations and legislation.
