Lviv Polytechnic is, without doubt, a leader among technical higher education institution, and it is confirmed by the fact that international conferences are often held here. This time Polytechnic organized the International Conference on Design, Simulation, Manufacturing: The Innovation Exchange. The conference is dedicated to engineering sciences and it has, of course, both scientific and practical significance.
For four days, Ukrainian and foreign researchers shared their achievements in various fields of engineering. They focused on practical significance and specific developments which have been implemented in various spheres of life. Lecturers from different universities of Ukraine made their speeches, which, of course, allowed expanding the theme of the conference. Due to modern technologies, many speakers from abroad, such as Poland and Turkey, also joined the conference. The scale of the event allows developing relations between the university and individual researchers, which has a positive impact on the development of future research, and allows closer cooperation and development of science together.
The conference participants touched on a large number of topics and tried to comprehensively reveal the realities of engineering and to share their own experiences which may be of interest to the scientific community. Thus, Professor Vitalii Pasichnyk from Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute shared the developments of their HEI in the field of prosthetics and implantation, which today are the main direction of national medicine development. The exchange of practical experience between researchers is important as it helps to comprehensively and qualitatively reform and improve the quality of Ukrainian science.
– It is very important for me that the conference has such an international team, and participants from abroad are involved. I am grateful for the support of our Rector Yurii Bobalo, the management, who invited everyone to participate in the conference at Lviv Polytechnic. Our university has a long history in the development of engineering sciences, so it is very important for us to organize such conferences and bring together researchers from different fields, universities, not only Ukrainian but also from around the world. We are very happy that we managed to get together, although the coronavirus brought us new challenges in organizing this event. But it also gave us new opportunities, as we had not previously used hybrid methods of such activities. Today this is the main way of communication, and I hope that it will allow us to find new partners, said Oleh Matviikiv, First Vice-Rector of Lviv Polytechnic.
