The Department of Finance of the Institute of Economics and Management of the Lviv Polytechnic invites students of grades 7–11 to take a useful and interesting video course «Financial Literacy for Teenagers» on the website of the public organization «World of Important Initiatives».
The course within the framework of the educational initiative «Ecology of consciousness: the power of will and knowledge», which will be implemented by this public organization from February 2023, was created by Oleg Sergeyev, former first deputy chairman of the board of PrivatBank, chairman of the board of the Association of Graduates of the National University «Lviv Polytechnic», and now – teacher of this leading university of Ukraine). Mr. Oleg talks about:
- the history of money, its present and future;
- modern banks, cryptocurrency and other innovations in the banking sphere;
- bank cards, their origin, types, advantages and disadvantages;
- deposits, how to choose the best option, about alternative investments of money in bonds, currency;
- loans, in particular about which loans you should never take, etc.
Also, participants will learn how to protect themselves from financial fraud, as well as many interesting facts, practical examples of the present and the past, interesting tasks, the completion of which will be useful in everyone’s life.
The video course will also be interesting for students’ parents and school teachers.
