The Days of Italian Culture took place at Lviv Polytechnic for the second year in a row. This year, for one week from March 13 to 19, our University opened the cultural heritage and modern achievements of Italy to its students and faculty. On behalf of Lviv Polytechnic the events were organized by the Leonardo da Vinci Center for Italian-Ukrainian Cooperation (head Orest Vasylko) and the Center for International Education (head Nataliia Hots). Great help in organizing the event was provided by the Institute of Italian Culture in Kyiv (director Carlo Colonnella).
The Days of Italian Culture began with a concert of spiritual music performed by the A cappella Leopolis, which played Renaissance works of the 16th-17th centuries. The representatives of the Embassy of Italy, clergy of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, and representatives of Lviv Polytechnic attended the event.
During the following days, students from various Institutes of our University also took part in the events. Thus, future designers studying at the Institute of Architecture and Design had the opportunity to participate in the conference on «Creating value: inclusion, innovation and sustainability». Speakers of the event were Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Carlo Colonnella, Director of the Institute of Italian Culture and Oksana Lys, project coordinator of the «Sincere Heart».
