California State University, San Bernardino, officially cooperates with Lviv Polytechnic

California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) and Lviv Polytechnic National University announced that the educational institutions are developing an agreement to establish a partnership and initiate international cooperation for joint educational, scientific and cultural development.

This international partnership is aimed at strengthening international understanding and deepening friendly relations between CSUSB and Lviv Polytechnic National University, starting with cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship.

Thomas D. Morales, president of CSUSB, noted: «This is incredible news and a wonderful opportunity that will ultimately benefit the students, as well as the faculty and staff at both of our institutions. The MoU reinforces my belief that students benefit immensely from international studies. I look forward to the cooperation between our two institutions».

Yurii Bobalo, DScTech, Professor, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, noted that «international interaction and cooperation of the world’s universities plays an important role in the modern world. This makes it possible to integrate knowledge, opens up new ways of solving problems which humanity faces. Cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic National University and California State University, San Bernardino will provide an opportunity to exchange experience in the educational and scientific spheres and will open up new opportunities for the development of both universities».

The initial areas of international cooperation include the development of programs with the CSUSB Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration and the Lviv Polytechnic Tech StartUp School. The collaboration will facilitate joint events and seminars focused on entrepreneurship, research and innovative technologies for students and faculty of both universities.

The partnership will further enhance CSUSB’s entrepreneurship program, which is recognized as one of the best in the world. In the most recent national rankings Princeton Review’s, this entrepreneurship program was ranked among the top 50 best entrepreneurship programs for institutions of higher education in the United States and around the world.

«This agreement will help expand the global reach of both Lviv Polytechnic National University and programs at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, our School of Entrepreneurship, and the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE)», said Thomas Gomez-Arias, Dean, the Jack H. Brown College. «We look forward to working with our fellow scientists and entrepreneurs to share research, best practices and development programs».

In addition, conferences, seminars and scientific meetings will be held remotely until the end of the war in Ukraine.

This partnership was initiated by the desire of Christopher Watson, an investor in Ukraine, to strengthen international relations between universities by improving the level of knowledge of students and faculty, as well as increasing the business competencies of their startups.
