From November 8 to 13, 2021, Nataliia Vovk, Associate Professor at the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic, completed a research internship at the Institute of Social Communication and Media Science, the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin.
The Department of Informatology, Bibliology and Media Education, conducts its main researches in the following areas:
- development of social information and knowledge;
- marketing and PR in information activities;
- processes of automation, computerization and digitization in the Polish and world library business;
- training of employees of information institutions.
During the internship, meetings were held with the Director of the Institute of Social Communication and Media Science, Professor dr hab. Iwona Hofman, Head of the Department of Informatology, Bibliology and Media Education, dr hab. Anita Has-Tokarz, research supervisor of the internship Dr. Renata Malesa and other employees of the Department. The subject of the meetings was to discuss the experience of scientific work and teaching in both institutions, the organization of mutual lectures for students of both universities, the possibility of implementing joint projects, conferences and study visits.
In addition to attending offline and online classes to upskill and learn new didactic methods to improve the organization of the teaching process, Nataliia Vovk got acquainted with the funds of the Main Library of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Biblio Library and other institutions.
The internship took place within the framework of the current agreement between the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, Lviv Polytechnic, and the Department of Informatology, Bibliology and Media Education, the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.
