Applications submission for summer internship in USA (USURE) program for Lviv Polytechnic students and postgraduates continues

Applications submission for the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience in USA (USURE) for students and postgraduates of Lviv Polytechnic National University continues until February 15, 2020.

Lviv Polytechnic National University and North Dakota State University, Fargo, USA, have developed Summer Undergraduate Research Experience in USA (USURE) program for Lviv Polytechnic students in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding and a common goal to promote cooperation between Ukraine and the United States of America.During the summer of 2021, the Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials at North Dakota State University offers 10 weeks of research internship for master students majoring in Chemical Technology and Engineering, Biotechnology and Bioengineering, Food Technology or Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy, as well as for the first – third year postgraduate students who major in Chemistry of High Molecular Compounds, Organic Chemistry and other related specialities.

The Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials is recognized as one of the leading educational and research departments in its field. Research interns will be offered projects in the following areas:

  • Synthesis of polymers based on biological raw materials;
  • Synthesis of special purpose polymers;
  • Corrosion protection coatings;
  • Polymers with improved ageing resistance;
  • Biomedical polymers;
  • Computer-aided design of polymeric materials.

Students and postgraduate students will receive a scholarship. Fargo campus offers affordable accommodation for a modest price. Students and postgraduate students have to pay for transportation, accommodation and visa. Internship is available for any 10 weeks between May 10 and August 13, 2021.

To apply for an internship you need to send:

  • a letter describing career plans and research interests;
  • extract from the record book;
  • academic / supervisor recommendation;
  • statement.
