The formation of consortia and the submission of applications to participate in the 2024 competition for receiving grants of the European Research Council for joint research (ERC Synergy Grant 2024) are ongoing within the framework of the European Union program «Horizon Europe».
European Research Council grants for joint research aim to support the collaboration of two to four research groups to solve ambitious scientific problems that cannot be solved by individual researchers and their teams alone. Applicants must demonstrate the innovative nature, ambition and feasibility of their research proposal. These grants can be awarded in the amount of up to 10 million euros for a period of up to 6 years.
Within the scope of the grant, additional funding in the amount of up to 4 million euros is possible to reimburse the travel expenses to the European Union or associated countries, the purchase of necessary equipment and/or payment for access to large infrastructure facilities and/or other costs for performing experimental and field work research, excluding personnel costs.
The deadline for application submission is November 8, 2023.
