In order to popularize knowledge about the European Union and the opportunities of community development in Ukraine, the project team of «European studies for technical specialties at Lviv Polytechnic National University» held the Academy of European Studies «Decentralization and development of communities: EU programs for Ukraine» in March. 183 people: students, teachers, representatives of authorities, united territorial communities, etc., registered for the event.
The Academy program consisted of eight six-hour modules, during which important issues of decentralization and development of communities in Ukraine and EU countries were discussed.
According to the results of successful testing, 135 certificates were issued to Academy students, including students and teachers of leading Ukrainian higher education institutions (National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Kamianets-Podilskyi State Institute, Lviv Polytechnic National University, O.Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, Bohdan Khmelnytsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University, Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, O. Honchar Dnipro National University and others), representatives of local authorities and united territorial communities (Lviv City Council, "Lviv Community Office in Malekhiv village", Rava-Ruska City Council, etc.), as well as other organizations (Lviv City Polyclinic №3, PE "Rivne-Inzhynirynh").
