The 4th meeting of the co-directors of the project G5647 «Determination of exposure dose and identification of a radioactive source in radiation accidents» (2019–2022) under the NATO program «Science for Peace and Security» took place within the VI International Scientific Conference OMEE-2021 as a satellite event at the university. For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, the meeting was held offline. Participants spoke about the current state of project implementation and the interaction that will help to successfully complete it.

The event was attended by project executors from Turkey, USA, Poland, Israel and Ukraine. The staff of Lviv Polytechnic in this project must develop hardware to achieve the project objectives, as well as a prototype of the national emergency dosimetry system under the grant 2020.01 / 0248 «Prototype Development of an emergency dosimetry system in the conditions of man-caused radiation accidents and terrorist attacks» (2020–2021) under the competition «Science for human and social security» from the National Research Foundation of Ukraine. The manager of both projects at Lviv Polytechnic is S. Ubizskyi, Professor at the Department of Semiconductor Electronics, who together with researcher D. Afanasiev demonstrated his colleagues a prototype of a portable dosimetric reader with autonomous power supply, emphasizing that due to joint financing of similar developments from two sources they manage to carry out tasks of both projects more effectively.
