On November 16–18, the 4th International Scientific and Practical Conference «KyivLvivPharma-2023. Pharmaceutical technology and pharmacology in ensuring active longevity» took place at the Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy and Biotechnology, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Industry, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. The conference was held both offline and online.
The purpose of KyivLvivPharma-2023 was the exchange of scientific and practical experience of representatives of related institutions of higher education, scientific institutions, chemical and pharmaceutical enterprises and the business community in order to popularize scientific achievements in the field of development and manufacture of medicinal products, discuss the prospects for the development of the pharmaceutical industry and its European integration, and the issues concerning training of specialists for the pharmaceutical industry of Ukraine. In total, more than 100 participants took part in the conference, including Ukraine, Switzerland, Lithuania, Poland, the USA, France, Israel and Estonia.
As part of KyivLvivPharma-2023, a competition for the best youth research work was held on the basis of the Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy and Biotechnology, Lviv Polytechnic, based on the results of reports and a student poster session. The competition committee chose three winners among the authors of the submitted works, who were awarded at the closing ceremony of the conference:
1st place – Anastasiia Behdai for the work «Invitro study of the effect of desloratidine and loratidine on 15-lipoxygenase» (Department of Pharmaceutical Industry, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design);
2nd place – Artem Kharchenko for the work «Functionalized vitaminized product with antioxidant properties» (Department of Pharmaceutical Industry, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design);
3rd place – Sofiia Kliuchyk for the work «Applications to improve the quality of life» (Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy and Biotechnology, Lviv Polytechnic).
