On 15–16 May 2025, the Department of Management of Organizations, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic National University, hosted the 2nd International Conference on the Challenges for the Tourism Business in Ukraine: European Practice. The event was held within the framework of the European experience in the promotion of heritage and cultural tourism (EEPHCT) project, the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module.
The aim of the conference was to discuss topical scientific and practical issues related to the challenges for the tourism business in Ukraine in the context of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and to formulate proposals for improving the management of the tourism business in Ukraine based on the experience of European countries.
More than 130 participants from different regions of Ukraine, as well as representatives from Poland, Turkey, the USA, Hungary and Italy, submitted their materials to the event. The reports were presented at plenary and breakout sessions. The presentations of the participants, including researchers, students and postgraduates, aroused great interest and lively discussions.
Professor Maria Carlotta Rizzuto and researcher Eugenia Strano, the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro (Italy), made relevant presentations on sustainable development of agri-food supply chains and the role of sustainable finance in the context of global challenges and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.
After the conference, there was a publication of conference proceedings, which includes the scientific works of participants from various higher education institutions in Ukraine and abroad.
