The LASER-PRO Excellence Hub connects the laser and photonics innovation ecosystems of the Central Bohemian Region (Czech Republic), Lithuania, and Ukraine to build a strong cross-border research and innovation network. The project aims to enhance industrial competitiveness by advancing laser-based technologies in areas such as sustainable manufacturing, semiconductors, biomedical devices, and 3D printing. It bridges academia and industry through joint R&D, supports startups and SMEs with business services and mentorship, and develops a highly skilled workforce in high-tech sectors. By promoting the adoption of laser innovations in green and digital transitions, the project strengthens Europe’s technological sovereignty. It also emphasizes strategic communication to raise awareness and integrates Ukrainian partners through capacity-building and knowledge transfer, reinforcing regional resilience and innovation potential.
