The LASER-PRO project aims to establish a world-class, cross-border innovation ecosystem in laser and photonics technologies that drives sustainable industrial transformation, strengthens Europe’s technological leadership, and integrates Ukraine into the European Research and Innovation Area.
Objectives:
- Develop a Strong Cross-Border Innovation Ecosystem. Establish a robust research and innovation network connecting academia, industry, and policymakers in Czechia, Lithuania, and Ukraine to foster long-term collaboration in laser technologies.
- Enhance Industrial Competitiveness with Laser Innovations. Advance the development and application of next-generation laser technologies in sustainable manufacturing, semiconductor production, biomedical devices, and digital & 3D printing.
- Bridge Academia and Industry for Market-Driven Solutions. Promote joint research and development initiatives that facilitate effective knowledge transfer and accelerate the commercialization of laser-based innovations.
- Support Startups, Spin-offs, and SMEs. Build a vibrant support ecosystem for deep-tech enterprises, offering mentorship, access to funding, and business services to boost market uptake of laser technologies.
- Develop a Highly Skilled Workforce. Equip scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs with the skills and competencies needed to lead innovation in high-tech laser applications through targeted education and training.
- Promote Sustainable and Digital Industrial Transformation. Facilitate Europe’s green and digital transition by integrating efficient, laser-based solutions into industrial processes, reducing environmental impact and increasing productivity.
- Raise Awareness and Strengthen Stakeholder Engagement. Enhance the visibility and societal impact of laser technologies through strategic communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Strengthen Ukraine’s Innovation Ecosystem. Provide mentoring, training, and knowledge exchange to support Ukraine’s integration into the European innovation landscape and promote regional resilience and growth.
