Lviv Polytechnic Project Office informs: EU Horizon Europe Framework Programme for 2021–2027 has started

On January 1, 2021, the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Framework Programme for 2021–2027 has started.

The purpose of the programme: to overcome social, environmental and economic problems. To achieve ambitious scientific, social and economic goals and to maximize the impact of financial investment, the programme will attract the best researchers and the most innovative companies.

Budget: € 95.5 billion (+ 30% compared to Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme). The programme supports cutting-edge science by bringing together the best talents, supporting breakthrough innovations, and helping to create new services and markets.

The program includes three interconnected Pillars:

  • Pillar 1 Excellent Science
    • European Research Council (ERC)
    • Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA)
    • Research Infrastructures
  • Pillar 2 Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness
    • Health
    • Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society
    • Civil Security for Society
    • Digital, Industry and Space
    • Climate, Energy and Mobility
    • Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment
  • Pillar 3 Innovative Europe
    • European Innovation Council (EIC)
    • European Innovation Ecosystems
    • European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)
