The Zaspiv National Female Bandore Band, the Prosvita People’s House, Lviv Polytechnic National University, led by Khrystyna Zalutska, won the grand prize at the 1st International Multi-genre Art Championship «ART Space-2024», which took place on April 13–14, 2024.
Amateur and professional bands as well as individual performers aged from 3 to 25 and older from different cities of Ukraine participated in the competition, with no restrictions on nominations. The event was held online, so the Zaspiv band sent two video performances of Shevchenko’s works to the organizers.
According to the director, this is the third grand prize for Zaspiv. All members of the band are Polytechnic students studying at various Institutes: the Institute of Economics and Management, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, the Institute of Architecture and Design, the Institute of Law, Psychology and Innovative Education and others. They attend music classes twice a week.
