Rector Professor Yurii Bobalo, the Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Lviv region tells about Polytechnic life in the next academic year, what challenges it faces, what development prospects students, academics and researchers can expect as well as about international cooperation between our University and world-class universities.
– For a long time Lviv Polytechnic has been high ranked among Ukrainian and world universities, what do you think is the key to this?
– Lviv Polytechnic success is the result of the hard work of the University staff and especially of its main structural units that fulfill the tasks envisaged by the Development Program of Lviv Polytechnic National University until 2020. The main objective of this program is to ensure the sustainable development of the University as a science and education innovation center, focused on the training of competitive specialists, scientific and pedagogical staff as well as on knowledge transfer and new technologies.
We are still growing, setting more ambitious strategic goals. They are to increase the level of the University’s presence in the global information environment, to win the first place among Ukrainian universities by international grants, to create an environment conducive to learning, work and personal development. These strategic goals and objectives are envisaged by the Strategic Plan for Lviv Polytechnic Development until 2025, approved by the University Academic Board.
