On January 4, Yurii Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Nazar Podolchak, Director of Lviv Polytechnic Science Park (SID City), Andrii Biriukov, representative of Hi Tech Office Ukraine, and Jaewon Peter Chan, representative of New York-based XnTree, signed an agreement to support smart city projects in Ukraine.
The parties agreed to develop joint research and transfer technologies related to smart city development and public administration projects in Ukraine (mobility, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, robotics, financial technologies, renewable energy sources, analysis of large databases, smart healthcare, environmental technologies, etc.), as well as to create joint innovative educational programs in Public Administration and Entrepreneurship.
Among other things, the parties agreed to support and facilitate the launch of acceleration programs and to conduct joint global events, including forums, webinars and conferences.
There are also opportunities to create units of innovation structures (ARK-i Labs, XnTREE) on the basis of Lviv Polytechnic Science Park (SID City).
