On 15 June 2025, an exhibition of Ukrainian higher education institutions was held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event was organised by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ukrainian State Centre for International Education, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Lviv Polytechnic National University also took part in the exhibition. It was represented by: Nataliia Hots, Head of the Centre for International Education, and Serhii Kupchak, Head of the Department for Foreign Students. The University presented its initiatives in the field of education, as well as provided an opportunity to receive individual consultations on admission, scholarships and double degree programmes.
Yurii Husiev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan, and other officials, including Aminagha Sadigov, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part in the event.
The exhibition was aimed at promoting international cooperation in the field of education and providing Azerbaijani students with an opportunity to learn about the educational opportunities of Ukraine and Lviv Polytechnic National University in particular. This made it possible to establish close cooperation with representatives and partner organisations of Azerbaijan, as well as the Ukrainian centre in Baku.
Ukraine has always considered and continues to consider Azerbaijan as a country with which we have close friendly relations based on mutual respect and trust. In particular, Azerbaijani students who have studied and continue to study at our university in previous years have proven to be strong, competent professionals with critical thinking and the ability to improve themselves.
This is of particular importance and significance in the current historical period, when our peoples are forced to defend their sovereignty and restore the territorial integrity of their state within internationally recognised borders again. Our shared pain has made us stronger and more loyal. We look forward to expanded and deepened international cooperation in the field of education.
