On 6–9 February 2025, the International Winter School «Academic Entrepreneurship: Theory and Best Practices» was held at the University’s Polytechnic-4 Recreational Camp (Zozuli village, Zolochiv district). Lviv Polytechnic faculty had the opportunity to discuss the experience of modern universities in preparing academic staff for academic entrepreneurship.
The introductory interactive lecture was delivered by Nataliia Mukan, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Pedagogics and Innovative Education, the Institute of Law, Psychology and Innovative Education, who revealed the essence and main characteristics of academic entrepreneurship, pointed out various problems of developing academic entrepreneurship in higher education institutions, and gave examples of modern universities that had begun to work effectively in this direction.
Polish colleagues also shared their experience: in particular, Dr. hab. prof. Bożena Wojtasik held a seminar «Experience of Polish Universities in the Development of Academic Entrepreneurship».
The school participants took an active part in intellectual games «Academic Entrepreneurship: Generating Innovative Ideas» and «Academic Entrepreneurship: Leadership and Team Development», attended a workshop on «Academic Entrepreneurship: International Perspective», a seminar-training «Business Planning in Academic Entrepreneurship», master classes «Stages of Implementation of an Innovative Idea: Scientific and Methodological Support», «Startup: From the Idea to the Implementation of a Scientific Development», «Launching a Startup in the Educational Sphere».
The event was held at a high scientific and practical level, with an academic but warm and friendly atmosphere. The participants exchanged experiences, found like-minded people and acquired new skills and knowledge that would inspire further development, as well as got great impressions and memories.
