The International Scientific and Practical Conference on European Integration and Transformation of Public Governance in Ukraine was held in a hybrid format on 4 April 2025. It was organised by the Department of Public Governance and the Department of Regional and Local Development, the Institute of Administration, Governance and Professional Development (IPAG) at Lviv Polytechnic.
The co-organisers of the conference were long-standing partners of the IPAG:
- Fachhochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung, Rechtspflege und Polizei in Güstrow, Germany;
- Prince Kazimierz Kujawski University of Business in Inowrocław, Poland;
- ISMA Graduate School of Information Systems Management in Riga, Latvia.
The conference consisted of two parts – plenary (in English) and sectional (in Ukrainian) in the following areas:
- Priorities of Ukraine’s public policy in wartime conditions;
- Prospects for European integration and security system in Europe;
- Public and business administration in ensuring sustainable development.
The plenary session of the conference was solemnly opened with a welcome speech by Professor Liubomyr Pylypenko, Doctor of Economics, the IPAG Director. In his speech, he emphasised the importance and relevance of the conference topic, given the current challenges and prospects of Ukraine’s European integration. Professor Pylypenko also expressed his sincere gratitude to the partners of the event for their constant support, fruitful cooperation and implementation of joint initiatives that contribute to the development of the scientific environment and the formation of effective management practices.
Dr. Holger Franke, PhD, Professor at the Fachhochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung, Rechtspflege und Polizei (Güstrow, Germany), Dr. Wieslaw Juchacz, PhD, Rector of the Prince Kazimierz Kujawski University of Business (Inowrocław, Poland) and Dr. Viktoria Ryaschenko, Doctor of Economical Sciences, Professor at the ISMA Graduate School of Information Systems Management (Riga, Latvia) also delivered welcome speeches and words of support.
The English-language part of the conference, moderated by Mykola Bunyk, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Public Governance, featured presentations by:
