On January 18, 2024, an informational online seminar on writing grant projects under the Erasmus+ programme, Jean Monet Actions, was held at Lviv Polytechnic National University. About 40 employees from various Institutes and Departments of Lviv Polytechnic participated in the event.
The speaker at the seminar was Svitlana Holovchak, a specialist of the University Project Office, coordinator of the Jean Monet Actions. In particular, she talked about:
- the purpose, themes, goals and structure of Jean Monet Actions;
- teaching and research: modules, chairs and centers of excellence;
- other areas of education and training: teacher training, study of EU initiatives in other areas of education and training;
- political debates and networks;
- procedure for participating in the program;
and also provided step-by-step instructions for filling out the grant application.
During the event, the main emphasis was placed on the participation in the Jean Monnet program. Special attention was paid to the issues of registration on the Funding&Tender Opportunities Portal website, searching for grant opportunities, as well as the peculiarities of submitting a grant application. The participants of the seminar had the opportunity to receive specific advice on filling out the application form, correctly formulating goals, filling out the estimate and determining project performance indicators.
At the end of the webinar, University employees took an active part in the discussion. The most questions were related to the requirements for the project team, the application form, filling out the application form and creating an estimate (hours calculator). Those present were interested in the experience of Lviv Polytechnic regarding the Jean Monet Actions, the Erasmus+ programmes. Organizers and participants shared their experience and best practices in writing grant projects. Positive feedback was received from listeners.
