Important International Scientific Meeting 4th IEEE International Symposium on Wireless Systems in IEEE International Conferences on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems (IEEE IDAACS-SWS 2018) rallied scientists from Ukraine and several continents in Lviv Polytechnic.
The satellite conference, which later grew into a symposium, was initiated by the German colleagues in 2012. Polytechnic hosted this event for the second time. Scientists from the Ukrainian technical universities of Lviv, Kyiv, Ternopil, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and the institutes of the National Academy of Sciences attended the symposium. Lviv Polytechnic was represented by scientists from its two institutes – ITRE and ICTA. Active participants of the symposium are respected and young researchers from Germany, China, Pakistan and the USA.
According to Anatolii Sachenko, the Director General of the conference, Professor of Ternopil National Economic University, this time the main topics of the symposium were related to the modern development of information networks (new direction, which combines radio-engineering devices and infocommunication networks and systems), there were also discussed the urgent issues of the Internet of things. Thus this event can be called «alloy» of infocommunication and computer technologies.
Presentations, delivered at the symposium, were interesting, modern, and with the use of the latest technologies. In addition, the symposium was broadcasted online, so young scholars, interested in this topic, could watch it. Professor Mykhailo Klymash, the Head of the Department of Telecommunication of ITRE and the Head of the Program Committee, said: «We expect that symposium will be continued both in future conferences and in scientific cooperation, in particular within the European grant Horizon 2020».
