From 16 to 19 June 2025, the Department of Public Governance, the Institute of Public Administration, Governance and Professional Development, is hosting a delegation from the Maissen University of Applied Sciences and Further Education Centre (Maissen, Federal Republic of Germany).
The visit takes part within the international partnership and academic cooperation between higher education institutions.
The foreign delegation includes:
- Frank Nolden – Rector of the Maissen University;
- Frank Degenkolbe – Chancellor and Head of the Centre for Advanced Studies;
- Ralph Lunau – Head of the Department of Public Administration;
- Thomas Schimmel – responsible for international relations.
During the visit, on 17 June, the delegation held an official meeting with Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Liubomyr Pylypenko, Director of the Institute Public Administration, Governance and Professional Development, and Mykola Bunyk, Head of the IPAG Department of Public Governance.
During the talks, the parties discussed strategic areas of future cooperation, in particular:
- implementation of joint master’s programmes in public administration;
- exchanges of teachers and students;
- organisation of joint training events for public sector representatives;
- participation in international grant initiatives.
Nataliia Shakhovska stressed the importance of developing academic relationships in the current context of public administration transformation and supported the initiative to create a sustainable platform for scientific and educational interaction between higher education institutions.
During the four days of the delegation’s visit, they also learned about educational programmes and digital transformation of public services in Ukraine as well as discussed research projects.
