From June 9 to July 23, 2019, the teachers of the Transport Technologies Department of Lviv Polytechnic National University, associate professor Volodymyr Hilevych and associate professor Mykola Boikiv, were trained according to the SmaLog project at Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTL) of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy).
According to the internship program, the staff of the Transport Technologies Department listened and analyzed lessons in such disciplines:
- City logistics planning and assessment;
- Transportation planning;
- Traffic flow simulation;
- Road safety;
- Design of a survey to understand new mobility patterns in cities;
- Methods to assess impacts of vehicles on transportation safety and security;
- On-line supporting tools for Urban Mobility Planning.
In addition, they participated in:
- meeting with the head of the Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTL) of Sapienza University of Rome;
- seminars at the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Urban logistics in Italy and Australia) and Sapienza University of Rome (Road safety risk assessment tool);
- excursions to the «Roma Mobility Agency» and the logistics company «Laziale Distribuzione S.P.A.»
The training occurred under the direct guide of the director of Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTL) of Sapienza University of Rome, of Professor Luca Persia. According to the results of the internship, the University’s staff received the corresponding certificates.
