Students of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic National University did well at the international competition DATA MINING CUP 2018 that focuses on a practice-related task in the field of intelligent data analytics, winning 16th place out of 192 registered teams and 69 teams included in the tournament schedule.
The team Uni_LPNU_Lviv_2 consists of:
- Tran Chi Cuong, CS-410;
- Pavlo Harkavenko, PI-41;
- Roman Moiseiev, CS-41.
The heads are Roman Tkachenko, the head of the Department of Publishing Information Technologies, and Yurii Tsymbal, the doctoral candidate of the Department of Automated Control Systems.
The other team of Lviv Polytechnic Uni_LPNU_Lviv_1 won 50th place, and TU_KPI_2 from National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» – 26th.
