The first day of the Spring school took place within the framework of the «European experience in technology transfer for Ukrainian universities» (UniTECH), the Jean Monnet Chairs project. Ihor Oleksiv, project manager, Professor at the Department of Management and International Business, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic, spoke about the idea and goals of the Spring School and introduced its trainers.
On the first day the invited speakers were:
- Dr. Henrik Blomgren, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden;
- Roman Nebesnyi, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Research and Development Department, Lviv Polytechnic National University;
- Olena Lukachuk, Candidate of Historical Sciences, research associate of the group of commercialization of scientific researches and protection of objects of intellectual property rights, the Research and Development Department, Lviv Polytechnic.
Dr. Henrik Blomgren made a speech on the Creativity in the University Technology Transfer. In particular, the speaker shared the experience of university technology transfer in Sweden (Klarna and Spotify) and methods of technology transfer from higher education institutions to business.
Speakers from Lviv Polytechnic presented to the audience a report on the Innovations and technology transfer in the academic environment: European experience, support tools and cases of cooperation between universities and businesses. In particular, they presented successful cases of our University’s activities in the field of innovation and technology transfer; structural divisions of Lviv Polytechnic which provide comprehensive support for the development of innovative ideas and technology transfer, as well as foreign expertise in building innovative ecosystems in higher education institutions.
More than 240 participants from all over Ukraine took part in the Spring School within the UniTECH project, in particular from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Uman, Kherson, Cherkasy, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Bukovyna and Lviv regions.
Lviv Polytechnic was represented by students majoring in Business Administration, International Economy, International Economic Relations, Public Management and Administration and Management of Innovative Activities. The School program was also interesting for graduate students majoring in Management, International Economic Relations, and Public Management and Administration, scientific and pedagogical employees and representatives of Lviv Regional State Administration.
