On January 18, 2024, the Department of Management and International Business, together with the Department of Finance, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic, hosted students of the 9th grade of the Sumy general secondary education institution No. 15 of the I-III degrees, who together with their class teacher went on a trip to Lviv and visited the University.
The head of the Department of Finance, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Mariia Bondarchuk and the Acting Head of the Department of Management and International Business, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor Liana Chernobai took part in the meeting.
The Polytechnicians were happy to provide schoolchildren with information about their educational programs for the bachelor’s degree, study opportunities with subsequent admission to master’s and doctorate degree programs, about international activities, student life and many other interesting things for future students.
The schoolchildren listened especially attentively to Daryna Fedorovych and Sofiia Myskiv, bachelor’s students of the Department of Management and International Business. The girls shared their impressions about how they entered the University, about their major International Economic Relations, about studying at the Institute of Economics and Management, how the educational process takes place and about the traits necessary for a future profession in the field of international economic relations.
As a result of the career orientation event, schoolchildren not only got acquainted with the possibilities of further study at the Institute of Economics and Management, but also received an invitation to participate in the International Winter School of a Young Diplomat-Economist, which will be held in a mixed format at the Department of Management and International Business from January 31 to 2 February 2024.
The visit to Lviv Polytechnic and the opportunity to familiarize future entrants with the educational programs of the Department of Management and International Business and the Department of Finance, the Institute of Economics and Management, became possible thanks to Yana Nonka, class teacher of the 9-B class of the Sumy general secondary education institution No. 15 of the I-III degrees.
