On January 26, 2022, the Government approved the Regulations on the International Competition for Scientific, Scientific and Technical Developments and Innovative Projects «PATON BRIDGE».
The purpose of the competition is to create favorable conditions for attracting young people to scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities, deepen Ukraine’s integration into the world scientific and innovative-entrepreneurial community, position Ukraine as a state with strong intellectual and entrepreneurial potential, increase its investment attractiveness.
The competition will take place in 7 areas:
- digital economy and society;
- resource-efficient economy and green growth;
- bioeconomy, natural resources;
- the health of the nation;
- advanced industrial technologies;
- culture, creativity, inclusive society;
- security and defense.
The organizers of the competition encourage the participation of authors of research projects, who will have the opportunity to present the results of applied research and experimental development, as well as innovative developments at different stages of readiness.
Participants will be able to receive support for further development of projects, find investors, implement technologies and developments in the real sector of the economy. This will help increase the competitiveness of the national economy and the appearance on the Ukrainian market of products with a high degree of added value.
- There is a cash prize for the winners:
- First place – 100 thousand dollars;
- Second place – 50 thousand dollars;
- Third place – 25 thousand dollars;
- awards named after outstanding Ukrainian scientists in 7 of the above areas – 10 thousand dollars.
Competition «PATON BRIDGE» will be held for the first time in 2022. It is expected to become annual.
Information on the application deadline will be posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
