Rector Yurii Bobalo: «We must do our best to bring the day of victory closer»

RECTOR OF LVIV POLYTECHNIC
Ректор Юрій Бобало

Dear Polytechnicians!

Our community has always been distinguished by a special unity. We stood side by side in 2005 during the Orange Revolution, in 2013 we were a reliable support to each other during the brutal Revolution of Dignity, we organized great support for the soldiers, including many of our students and staff, during the war that was unleashed by the Russian invader in the spring of 2014…And today, when the enemies are so cynically and ruthlessly destroying our people, our cities and villages, Polytechnicians are among those who fight on different fronts.

Every day we see how lots of Polytechnicians are working to help even here, in the rear, to win as quickly as possible. Our University accepts IDPs from cities where bombings and shelling continue. Polytechnicians have organized several centers to collect humanitarian aid, weave camouflage nets, and are actively working to help territorial defense.

It is also extremely important that Polytechnicians – scientists, inventors and academic staff – apply their unique knowledge and skills for victory.

How fast this victory will be depends not only on the courage and steadfastness of our soldiers, the wisdom of diplomacy, but it also depends on the extent to which everyone in their place do their best to resist the enemy in various directions. We must do everything in our power to bring a day of victory and peace to our country closer.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Heroes!
