The Project Office, Lviv Polytechnic National University, held a webinar within the information project «Environmental Polytechnic». The participants learned about the possibilities of grant support for initiatives in the field of Ecology (Green Deal and others).

– It is important for us that Polytechnicians learn as much as possible about the possibilities of developing their ideas and achievements. Therefore, at the event, the participants got acquainted with the practical aspects of searching, writing and submitting project applications for environmental competitions. We wanted to focus on the opportunities that open up for scientists in the field of Ecology, but the proposed initiatives can also be used by participants in other related fields, – said Nazarii Andrushchak, head of the Project Office.

The webinar was aimed at those interested in ecology, environmental protection, protection and restoration of ecosystems, eco-safety, etc. to obtain funding from national and international grant programs.

At the event there were discussed the formation of an idea for a grant, setting up filters for searching a grant opportunity, as well as Ukrainian and international programs, competitions and initiatives in the field of Ecology and proposals for cooperation.

– Our webinar was to draw the attention of scientists to the topic of environmental research, to demonstrate that in the ecological field representatives of various technical specialties can work at a professional and highly paid level through grant support and implement their developments aimed at environmental protection. Now we expect an increase in the number of submitted project applications in the environmental direction and, of course, winning projects that will further strengthen the formation of environmental awareness and culture of Lviv Polytechnicians, – added Olena Lukachuk, a leading specialist at the Project Office.

Also, at the webinar, Myroslav Maliovanyi, Project Coordinator from Lviv Polytechnic, Head of the Department of Ecology and Sustainable Environmental Management, and Ivan Tymchuk, Associate Professor at the same Department, Head of the Scientific Society of Students, Doctoral Candidates and Young Researchers, Lviv Polytechnic, shared their experience in preparing and implementing Erasmus+ KA2 Climan and ClimEd projects.
