On October 26, 2023, the head of the project "European Studies for Technical Specialties at the Lviv Polytechnic National University (EUSTS), Professor Yaryna Turchyn, took part in the work of the XVI Congress of the Ukrainian European Studies Association, which this year was dedicated to the theme "Promotion of Democracy in Europe and Ukraine's Accession to EU".
The speaker revealed the state and prospects for the development of European studies using the example of Lviv Polytechnic National University, the features of the EUSTS project, which has been implemented at the University for the second year in a row with the support of the EU Erasmus+ program directed by Jean Monnet, and also demonstrated the results of a sociological survey of student youth regarding the importance of introducing educational components on the subject of the EU and European integration of Ukraine in the university environment.
Together with Professor Yaryna Turchyn, Petro Krainik (NEO+), Maksym Kolisnyk (Development Office, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics), Andriy Boyar (Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University), Tetiana Komarova (Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University), and Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva (UAES) shared their experience in the panel "European Projects as the Main Instrument to Support Ukraine's European Integration: Implementation Practices in Time of War". The event was accompanied by interesting discussions, and its organizers - Oksana Holovko-Havrysheva, Marianna Hladysh, and Oksana Kraevska - called on the participants to engage in more active interaction and exchange of best practices in the development of European studies in Ukrainian higher education institutions.
