In September-November 2024, Volodymyr Chubai, Professor at the Department of Accounting and Analysis, the Institute of Economics and Management, organised a series of career guidance trainings and master classes for active 8–11 grades students at schools and lyceums in Lviv and the region.
The students effectively completed a four-hour training on time management, teamwork, other soft skills and emotional intelligence in the Lviv office of PricewaterhouseCoopers (Lviv PwC SDC). The students learnt about such professions as auditor, financial analyst, accountant, tax consultant, etc. In addition, they received certificates, prizes, and a delicious lunch after a tour to the modern office of Lviv PwC SDC.
The knowledge and professional skills required for these professions can be successfully acquired at the Department of Accounting and Analysis, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
In addition, Professor Chubai organised master classes that opened up a whole range of professions for schoolchildren in various specialities that can be successfully pursued at Lviv Polytechnic.
- A three-hour masterclass on 3D modelling and 3D printing was conducted in the modern laboratory of Lviv Polytechnic. The students learned how to create drawings of varying complexity, competed in relevant tasks based on the quality, creativity and speed of their proposed solutions, learned about the application areas of these skills, etc.
- A three-hour robotics workshop took place in the modern specialised laboratory of the University’s Tech StartUp School. The students learned about the current state of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), Smart Cyber System, IoT, AIoT, IoR, etc. They got acquainted with the robotics laboratory in the Tech StartUp School and programmed electronic circuits for robotics and IoT in virtual simulators.
- Two three-hour master classes on biotechnology were also held in a modern laboratory. Students studied plant DNA, created various samples of ecological cosmetology products with their own hands, learned about different professions which need this knowledge and skills, etc.
- There was a three-hour master class on creating a book – from the idea to the final stage. Schoolchildren learned how to create a book, decorate it with their own illustrations and comments, and carry out binding work.
It is also worth noting that in the spring of 2025, within the framework of the Personal Path project, Professor Volodymyr Chubai will continue to tell schoolchildren about promising professions that can be obtained at Lviv Polytechnic National University, in particular at the Department of Accounting and Analysis.
