The cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic National University and RAUSCHERT is growing into a strategic partnership – it was agreed on January 27.

Yurii Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic, Volodymyr Kraiovskyi, Vice-Rector for Training and Production, Mykola Mykyichuk, ICTA Director, Orest Ivakhiv, Head of the Department of Intellectual Mechatronics and Robotics (ICTA), and Andrii Stoianovskyi, Technopark Director, discussed the development of further cooperation with Richard Metzler, the CEO of RAUSCHERT Concern, Michael Müller, Chief Technologist of the Concern, and Svitlana Blonska, the CFO of SPECTROGRAPHICS LLC.

Cooperation between RAUSCHERT and Lviv Polytechnic began in 2017, and in 2019 the parties signed a framework agreement.

– Concern RAUSCHERT through its representative (the company SPECTROGRAPHICS) organized production in the Polytechnic Technopark, creating about 150 new jobs. They also work closely with the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology. To improve the work of the Department of Intelligent Mechatronics and Robotics, the company purchased and installed a multifunctional industrial robot brand IRB 1200–510.9, which is ideal for compact and flexible production in the manufacture of bulk parts, as well as training software. In addition, cooperation with the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies and the deployment of specific research in the field of ceramics is planned. In fact, this approach – establishing cooperation between a leading industrial enterprise (RAUSCHERT has offices in 14 countries, in Ukraine – in Lviv) – is a good example of how industrial enterprises involve educational institutions and research institutions in solving their production problems, – says Andrii Stoianovskyi, the Director of Technopark, Lviv Polytechnic.

They also discussed the expansion of production infrastructure on the basis of the Technopark – providing investment in raising the electricity limit; development of the project of formation of an emergency power supply in case of interruptions in the power supply system; approval of the possibility of implementing an educational and scientific investment project to build a solar station with a capacity of about 50 kW on the roof of the Technopark.
