Recently staff of the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations of Lviv Polytechnic together with the lecturers of the Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering visited the Lviv office of the transnational company Cypress Semiconductor Ukraine. The company is part of the world’s top twenty largest chip manufacturer, and its Ukrainian division fruitfully cooperates with University, in particular, the Department of Electronics and Information Technology.
The Lviv Polytechnic graduates, who are now successfully working here, Vasyl Matichyn, Vladyslav Novikov, Andrii Ryshtun and Iryna Petrus informed the guests about activities and achievements of Cypress Semiconductor Ukraine.
According to Svitlana Hladun, Head of the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations of University, at the meeting they negotiated about student internships and further cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and the company.
Human Resources Manager Iryna Petrus, who, by the way, is also a graduate of Lviv Polytechnic, conducted a tour of the main departments and told more about the manufacturer of chips.
By the way, there are many University students who work at the Cypress Semiconductor Ukraine, emphasized Iryna Petrus. She also noted the high level of professional training of Polytechnic graduates from such University Institutes as Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering, Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology and others.
At the meeting Leonid Ozirkovskyi, Deputy Director of the Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering, emphasized that cooperation between the Institute and the company lasts longer than a year. Due to it at the Department of Electronics and Information Technology there is an educational laboratory equipped by Cypress Semiconductor Ukraine.
