On April 25, 2024, Lviv Polytechnic National University and the Department of Foreign Trade and Customs joined the online career guidance meeting in the format of a round table «Youth is the future of the customs service on the way to European integration». The event is aimed at popularizing the activity of customs authorities as an employer among specialized institutions of higher education and attracting young professionals to serve in the territorial bodies of the State Customs Service.
Vladyslav Suvorov, Acting Deputy Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Oleh Matviikiv, Acting Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Petro Kutsyk, Rector of Lviv University of Trade and Economics, Roman Petryshyn, Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Mykola Dmytrychenko, Acting Rector of the National Transport University, and Oleksandr Rohach, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of the Uzhhorod National University, addressed the participants of the meeting with their welcome speeches.
Within the framework of the thematic block «Implementation of State Customs Policy», students had the opportunity to learn about different areas of activity of the State Customs Service where graduates of specialized higher education institutions can find jobs.
During the next thematic block of the event – «Management of personnel in customs authorities» – the participants of the round table learned from Volodymyr Kasian, Director of the Department for Work with Personnel of the State Customs Service, about the personnel management strategy of the State Customs Service to refresh the personnel potential of customs authorities involving young people.
Then, during the thematic block «Peculiarities of the work of customs authorities», Andrii Kuznik, Acting Chief of Lviv Customs, Yurii Herasymov, Chief of Chernivtsi Customs, Serhii Siliuk, Chief of Kyiv Customs, Oleksandr Semyrha, Chief of Transcarpathian Customs and Mykola Tatarchuk, First Deputy Chief of Coordination and Monitoring Customs, talked about the role of customs in ensuring the implementation of the state customs policy.
