On December 29, the list of winning projects of the European Union Sectoral Support Program was approved. Lviv region, which is the leader in the number of submitted projects in Ukraine (9%), will eventually be able to implement 9 projects under 5 EU Sectoral Support programs.
In particular, under the program «Innovative Economy and Investment» the winner was the project on «The development of the bioeconomy of the Western region of Ukraine: production of eco-containers from biodegradable polymers» worth 9.8 million hryvnias, out of which 7.65 million hryvnias will be given from the state budget. The initiator of the project is Lviv Polytechnic National University together with Lviv Regional State Administration.
In total, in Ukraine, the Competition Commission has selected 56 projects for more than 535 million hryvnias, which will be recommended for funding in 2021.
