The U.S. National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) have announced a competition for the creation of Ukrainian research groups. Each group will receive $600,000 for three years of work.
The program is open to scientists with Ukrainian citizenship and researchers working in Ukrainian scientific units as of February 24, 2022. Scientists will be able to work remotely, in particular while staying in Ukraine.
To apply for the program, scholars must first apply to an institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The application will then be evaluated by PAN and NAS experts.
Projects will be evaluated in several stages, the final decision will be made by both Academies of Sciences.
