An online meeting of the Eurolibrary event was held on 10 April 2023 as part of the implementation of the European Studies for Technical Specialities at Lviv Polytechnic National University (EUSTS) project, which is being implemented with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Programme, activity: Eurolibrary series.

The speaker was Natalia Andrusevych, a well-known Ukrainian analyst, expert on ecology and environmental protection, Chairman of the Board of the Resource and Analysis Centre "Society and Environment". She presented an analytical overview of the results of an all-Ukrainian sociological survey conducted by the Fama Research Agency at the request of the NGO Resource and Analysis Centre "Society and Environment" as part of the project "Integration of Sustainable Development in Ukraine according to the European Green Deal".

A total of 2,000 Ukrainian residents aged 18 and over were interviewed by face-to-face interviews between 17 December 2022 and 2 January 2023. The key goal of the study is to identify trends in the attitudes of Ukrainians towards environmental issues and their environmental habits, to understand the relationship between war and environmental awareness, to analyse the vision of Ukrainians of the post-war reconstruction of our country, the main financial sources of its financing, to understand the process of Ukraine's membership in the EU, to compare the environmental values and attitudes of Ukrainians with the data of the 2018 sociological survey and the Eurobarometer on a number of important issues.

Nataliia Andrusevych's speech aroused considerable interest, as 100 participants registered for the event, and more than 60 attended, including students of various specialities, teachers, postgraduate students, EUSTS project participants from the departments of Social Communications and Information Activities, Political Science and International Relations, and Electromechatronics and Computerised Electromechanical Systems, as well as teachers from other higher education institutions. The participants actively asked questions, expressed their positions and attitudes on the issues reflected in the study. The main focus of the questions was on the European Green Deal and the implementation of its provisions by Ukraine, as well as monitoring the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in terms of environmental protection and climate change.

The EUSTS project team thanks all the participants of this event and continues to work on preparing other equally interesting events on the topical issues of Ukraine's European integration and cooperation with the European Union. We invite everyone to join our events!
