The Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment has approved the general characteristics of the subject tests of the National Multisubject Test (NMT) 2025 and the scoring schemes for completing the tasks.

In 2025, the NMT certification work will include four tests, three of which are compulsory and the fourth is optional. The compulsory subjects are Ukrainian language, Mathematics, History of Ukraine, and the optional subjects are Ukrainian literature, one of the foreign languages (English, German, French or Spanish), biology, chemistry, physics or geography. The subject of the applicant's choice must be indicated when registering for the NMT.

The computer-based format of the test means that the participant will take all four subject tests in one day in two stages: the first (120 minutes) - completing tasks in Ukrainian language and mathematics, the second (120 minutes) - completing tasks in the history of Ukraine and a subject of their choice.

Tests in Ukrainian language, Ukrainian literature, history of Ukraine, biology, chemistry and geography will contain 30 tasks each, in mathematics and physics - 22 and 20 respectively, and in foreign languages (English, Spanish, German, French) - 32 tasks.

All NMT tasks will correspond to the content of the external independent testing programs in the subjects. The content of the tasks in the history of Ukraine will cover all topics related to the history of Ukraine from ancient times to the events of the early twenty-first century.

For more information on the content and structure of the tests in each subject of the NMT and the assessment, see the relevant section.
