Every year, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine presents awards named after prominent scientists of Ukraine in order to honour the scientists who have published the best scientific works, and made inventions and discoveries that are important for the development of science and the economy of Ukraine.
During the regular session of the General meetings of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which took place on April 27, 2023 in Kyiv, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician Anatolii Zahorodnii, presented diplomas to the laureates of the awards named after outstanding scientists of Ukraine based on the results of the 2022 competition.
In particular, the Heorhii Proskura Award for outstanding scientific works in the field of Power Engineering – for the series of works «Electromagnetic fields and processes of spatially distributed objects in elements of electric power and electrotechnical devices» – was awarded to:
- Yurii Vasetskyi, Doctor of Technical Sciences, chief researcher at the Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
- Viktor Hrebenikov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, leading researcher at the Institute of Electrodynamics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;
- Mykhailo Seheda, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department of Electric Power Engineering and Control Systems, the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
