Recently, the Lviv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education hosted the second (regional) stage of the 15th Taras Shevchenko International Ukrainian Language and Literature Competition for Students. The event is an important initiative aimed at raising the prestige of the Ukrainian language and literature, encouraging students to learn their native language, and improving the level of general language culture. In the academic year 2024–2025, this is the 15th anniversary competition.
90 students from vocational pre-higher and higher education institutions took part in the event and demonstrated their knowledge and talent being inspired by the Great Kobzar’s works. Representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University are among the winners of the regional stage of the competition.
In particular, among the students of higher education institutions, the second degree diploma was received by:
- Marta Nalezhyta (the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, supervisor – Sofia Bulyk-Verkhola, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Language);
- Arsen Onyshchak (the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport, supervisor – Volodymyr Diakiv, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Language).
Tetiana Kravchuk, a student of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, received a third degree diploma (supervised by Myroslava Hnatiuk, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Language).
The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted the regional stage of the 25th Petro Yatsyk International Competition. The aim of the competition is to raise the prestige of the Ukrainian language, ensure its comprehensive development and functioning in all spheres of public life.
This year’s winners among students of higher education institutions are the following representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University:
- first degree diploma: Solomiia-Mariia Mytlovych (the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, supervisor – Zoriana Kunch, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Ukrainian Language);
- third degree diploma: Diana Demian (the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, supervisor – Sofiia Bulyk-Verkhola, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Ukrainian Language).
