Kuwait University often organizes thematic exhibitions to promote various areas of socio-cultural life of the state. This year the theme of the exhibition was education and tourism. Kuwait finally lifted anti-epidemic restrictions that lasted for more than 18 months. So citizens and residents of the state are actively interested in international tourism, as well as education at foreign universities.
This year’s educational and tourism exhibition at the Kuwait University was quite large and the stand of the Embassy of Ukraine occupied one of the central pavilions of the exhibition and attracted at least 500 visitors. As the target audience of the exhibition is entrants, students and academic staff, the main focus of the presentation was on Ukrainian universities.
«The Embassy provided an opportunity to present Lviv Polytechnic at such a large-scale event and noted us as one of the most promising Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine. Together with Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, we prepared all the necessary materials for the stand. The monitor constantly played promos about the academic and student life of Polytechnicians, including international students studying at our University. We also presented information brochures about Lviv Polytechnic in general and about the Department, in particular», said Olesia Maksymovych, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding.
Lviv Polytechnic was one of the first universities to respond to the Embassy’s invitation to take part in an exhibition at the Kuwait University. Modern realities require more and more digitization, so most materials were presented electronically with QR codes, online brochures, videos, etc. Materials related to Lviv Polytechnic quickly spread among the guests of the pavilion, which is a sign of interest of Kuwaiti entrants.
