Lviv Polytechnic is in the TOP-5 universities among entrants

Today, July 21, Lviv Polytechnic National University is in the fifth place among higher education institutions where this year’s entrants to the Bachelor’s degree want to enter.

According to the state enterprise «Inforesurs», as of 09:00 on July 21 during this year’s admission campaign through the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua on the basis of complete general secondary education 190 thousand 777 electronic cabinets were created and 886 thousand 164 electronic applications were submitted. This is 3% more e- cabinets and 18% more e-applications than in the same period last year.

The increase is due to the fact that this year the number of graduates of general secondary education is 4.8% more than in 2020.

According to the number of applications future bachelors’ students on the basis of complete general secondary education choose the following specialties:

  • Philology – 59,202;
  • Law – 58,824;
  • Management – 49,929;
  • Computer Science – 47,172;
  • Secondary education – 34,993;
  • Journalism – 34,726;
  • Software engineering – 33,676;
  • Psychology – 31,362;
  • Marketing – 28,847;
  • Economy – 28 128.

According to the number of applications submitted as of July 21, the most popular institutions of higher education among entrants to the Bachelor’s degree on the basis of complete general secondary education are:

  • Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – 38,878;
  • Ivan Franko National University of Lviv – 36,039;
  • National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» – 33,038;
  • National Aviation University – 27,779;
  • Lviv Polytechnic National University – 27,696;
  • V. Karazin Kharkiv National University – 24,927;
  • Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics – 24,103;
  • State Higher Educational Institution «Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University» – 18,994;
  • M. Drahomanov National Pedagogical University – 15,377;
