A regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Lviv Polytechnic National University was held on 14 April. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Taras Kytsmey, started the meeting by congratulating the newly elected Rector, Nataliia Shakhovska, on her victory in the elections. In his address, he emphasised the high level of organisation of the election process, which took place in a tolerant atmosphere, which proved the maturity of the university’s academic community.
Professor Nataliia Shakhovska expressed her gratitude to the Supervisory Board for their support and presented the Lviv Polytechnic Development Programme. In her speech, she outlined the key priorities of the university’s development: improving the educational component, supporting scientific schools, modernising infrastructure, implementing digital transformation and developing an effective management strategy. The Rector spoke in detail about short-, medium- and long-term tasks covering education, science, social security, business, digital services and external communication.
The second item on the agenda was the discussion of the university’s target performance indicators which the Rector is responsible for ensuring.
Nataliia Shakhovska presented the regulatory basis for determining such indicators and explained their structure. They also discussed mandatory, specific and programme indicators that allow for a systematic assessment of the university’s performance.
Based on the results of the discussion, the Supervisory Board members provided appropriate recommendations for further steps in managing the University and ensuring its sustainable development.
