Every year, on Dignity and Freedom Day, which is celebrated on 21 November, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awards 25 state scholarships to the best young scientists. These scholarships were established to honour the feat of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, preserve the memory of the events of the Revolution of Dignity, and support young researchers who make a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian science and strengthening national stability.
Scholarships are awarded for a period of one year in the amount of two subsistence minimums established at the beginning of the year for able-bodied individuals. They are aimed at supporting those who, with their scientific results, strengthen Ukraine’s international authority, develop democratic and humanistic values, and also work to protect national interests in today’s difficult conditions.
