The Department of Sociology and Social Work, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic National University, has officially opened the SocioSpace Education and Information Hub.
The creation of the Hub was made possible thanks to the equipment received within the TURBO project «The Universities’ Reaction to Big Obstructions: Building resilient higher education to respond and manage societal crises», funded by the European Union (code 101129315-TURBO-Erasmus-EDU-2023-CBHE).
The project participants from Lviv Polytechnic are employees of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences:

- Sofiia Stavkova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor;
- Uliana Yatsyshyn, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor;
- Romana Myshok, Candidate of Philosophy, Assistant.
The SocioSpace Hub will become a key platform for:
- implementing the TURBO project, which has already developed a microcredit educational program for the professional retraining of internally displaced persons;
- providing information support for the events of the Department of Sociology and Social Work;
- organising meetings, conferences, round tables, discussions and networking;
- conducting interactive training sessions for students to promote the development of professional skills and the use of modern digital tools.
The University administration, including Professor Pavlo Zhezhnych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Education and Informatization, Professor Roman Korzh, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Education and Social Development, and Associate Professor Liliia Klos, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work, TURBO project participants, academics and students attended the opening ceremony.
All those present at the opening noted the importance of SocioSpace Hub as a modern platform that combines educational, scientific and social functions. For the University this project is a significant contribution to improving the learning process, increasing the effectiveness of communication between the participants of the educational process, and creating new opportunities for development.
