On December 13, 2018, there was an opening of the exhibition «Parents of the Heavenly Legion Heroes», held in cooperation with the Lviv Center that provides services to the military in the Scientific and Technical Library of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
Iryna Baranska-Voronina told how they created the project and how they were taking photos to show the wounded parents of the dead ATO soldiers and how they experience their pain.
Taras Bortnichuk, a former ATO soldier, simply, without pathos, sincerely and from his heart shared his experiences and fears about how to begin life after ... He also emphasized that communication – simple, sincere, without imaginary walls – is very important for ATO veterans, and for their families, especially for parents who lost their children in the war.
At the end, Yurii Bobalo, Rector of University, appealed to all those present, and especially to the young people who were in the hall, to honor, love and care for their parents.
After the event visitors could make a donation to a special box. The collected funds will be transferred to one of the families of the ATO soldier who passed away.
