The eleventh season of Agile internship is finished. Previously it was Kharkiv students who participated, this time it was the turn of students of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
For 5 weeks, the first- and the third-year students of Software Department and the Departments of Artificial Intelligence Systems, Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, have been working on creating their own projects. The work in teams was built on the principles of Agile, and specialists from Sigma Software helped them. Together with the mentors, students learned how to build Scrum processes, manage project time and resources, analyze requirements and share tasks among team members.
Agile internship is a program that Sigma Software has been implementing for more than 8 years for IT students in partner universities. During the internship, students learn how to think in Agile categories, test their skills in teamwork and attend workshops by company experts.
On the last day of internship, students presented their work to the audience.
Nataliia Melnykova, Training Manager at Sigma Software, shared her impressions of the last day of the internship:
– Teams managed to cope with the task, quickly master new frameworks and technologies as well as set priorities correctly. Each team was solid, the participants showed their ability to work in nontrivial situations. I think it is a cool experience for them that will motivate them for further development.
After the presentations, all participants received gifts from Sigma Software University and certificates of completion of Agile internship.
